A thick, dense ruby-coloured syrup with a balanced sweet and sharp, fruity-tart kick that adds complextity to dishes when added.
It can be used to make marianades or salad dressings, brushed over meat or poultry as a glaze, or in popular dishes such as muhamara (pomegranate & walnut dip) or the Iranian walnut & pomegranate stew – fesenjan. You can add it to sweet dishes too; add a drizzle to yoghurt, ice-cream or meringues. Perfect for cocktails or just enjoy by mixing a few drops with prosecco.
